Samsung Galaxy S9 retail box leaked, full specifications revealed
This alleged Galaxy S9 box reveals some important specifications of the device. If the f/1.5 aperture isn’t exciting enough, the rear camera setup will also have the ability to dynamically shift between f/1.5 and f/2.4 as per the external lighting conditions.
The image, which Samsung news site SamMobile reported on earlier, shows a list of specs that could be coming to the smartphone, including a 5.8-inch Infinity Display featuring a quad-HD resolution. Assuming this is, in fact, final Galaxy S9 packaging, then what does it tell us about Samsung’s next flagship?
The Galaxy S9 may be yet another killer handset by Samsung and an exciting glimpse at what the poweruser’s darling – the Galaxy Note 9 – might end up packing! However, with MWC 2018 already closing in, it seems very plausible that Samsung has already finalized the features of the Galaxy S9 and the box that it will ship in. The phone will also continue using the iris scanner, IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, and wireless charging support, which we saw in the Galaxy S7 duo in 2016 and in the Galaxy S8 duo in 2017. Even though rumors had it that Samsung was going to release the newest iteration of Galaxy S line earlier this year, we didn’t see a Galaxy S9 at CES.
Samsung’s Galaxy S9 will not copy the iPhone X’s notch, but that doesn’t mean it’s not bound to happen sometime in the future, and a new discovery suggests Samsung is putting a lot of thought into its own notches.
The same report also said that Samsung was planning to finalise the design of the foldable display for the smartphone in March, followed by the mass production of the panels in September. However, this may not strictly be true after all since the phone’s retail box has gotten leaked and revealed some pretty intriguing information. This aligns perfectly with all the previous leaks and patent info we have on the elusive device.
An interesting surprise is its stereo speakers that are tuned by AKG. Plus, there’ll be earphones tuned by AKG too.
