Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 released to carriers
Blending form and function, elegant design and multitasking power, Galaxy Tab S2 is the new flagship in Samsung’s line of tablets-and the ultimate device for experiencing and sharing digital content. From the creators of Samsung’s award-winning televisions and large-screen smartphones, the Galaxy Tab S2 is available for preorder starting today and will be available at select U.S. retailers and carriers beginning September 3.
As revealed previously, apart from size, the two Galaxy Tab S2 models share nearly identical specifications. The tablet is the thinnest and lightest installment that the company has put forth. The company promotes these refreshed models in its Galaxy Tab S tablet series as its most immersive tablet to-date, which boasts improved set of features along with better interface. Both were notable for their weight: 9.4 ounces for the 8-inch device and 13.8 for the 9.7-inch, which is a couple of ounces lighter than the iPad Air 2. Each features a microSD slot to upgrade storage.
Cameras are always an important component of any new device, and in the case of the Galaxy Tab S2, users will have a combination of an 8-megapixel camera at the back and one at 2.1-megapixels up front. Pop-Up Window allows for quick movement between multiple apps without missing a beat. Samsung has announced US pricing and availability for the Galaxy Tab S2, so let’s dive in and see what we’re looking at. It also comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. The device sports an AMOLED display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, ensuring users are treated to a crystal clear picture whenever they are using it. Samsung is also offering a limited time trade-in option for other tablets that will give users $100 or more to trade in their old tablet and get a Galaxy Tab S2.
