Samsung Gear S2 landing in India tomorrow
The Samsung Gear S2 has been available for a few months in some other markets, and now just as we expected the smartwatch and its Classic variant have become available for India. The Smartwatch runs on Tizen OS, whereas its predecessor was powered by Android wear.
The answer to that would be the latest Samsung Gear S2 luxury Smartwatch.
The Gear S2 smartwatch was earlier showcased during the IFA Berlin trade show in September past year.
The Samsung Gear S2 comes with an IP67 rating that makes it dust and water resistant.
The smartwatch sports a circular watch face design and the interesting bit is its 1.2-inch “full circle” design. The company claims that the rotating bezel is a highlight of the new wearable as it will allow users to easily access all required information.
The South Korean company at the same event also announced the availability details of the Gear VR headset, which has been priced at Rs. 8,200. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Finally, completing the package is a 250mAh battery with support for wireless charging. They have accelerometer, gyroscope, heart rate monitor, ambient light and barometer sensors. On the storage front, there is 4GB inbuilt memory available. The consumer version of Gear VR is compatible with select Samsung smartphones including the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. There are many other bands available for S2 (mendini, warm grey and red) and Gear S2 Classic (grey leather and brown leather).
The Gear S2 works with Android devices running Android 4.4 and above along with the devices which pack more than 1.5GB of RAM. Unlike the earlier version of the Gear S smartwatch, which had a more square-shaped dial, the S2 has a round watchface.
The two new Samsung Gear S2 models will be available in 18K Rose Gold with an Ivory Genuine Leather Band, and Platinum case with a Black Genuine Leather Band will be available from February onwards.
