Samsung Introduces New Smart TV Remote, Provides Easy Access To Multiple Devices
According to Latin Post, South Korean tech giant Samsung has introduced a Smart TV remote on Monday at the Consumer Electronics Show.
Samsung announced its Family Hub fridge, which incorporates a 21.5-inch touch screen in the door to control fridge functions and find recipes. Family members can sync their schedules, leave one another messages, and upload photos for sharing. The adapter will enable customers to control internet-connected appliances right from their couch. If we’re to believe the official pictures provided by Samsung – and what reason have we not to – the cooler is most likely to be powered by Android operating system.
CES 2016 will see Samsung Electronics unveil a new Samsung Smart TV user experience with the refreshed “Smart Hub” user interface alongside a new Samsung Smart Control remote. The smart app for the groceries cart will learn family’s shopping habits and then suggest brands and items.
On the device front, Samsung threw in a few additions, including Gear S2 classic smartwatch models that come in new finishes such as rose gold and platinum.
CNET detailed that the new remote will give users the ability to control their TV, set-top boxes, streaming media players, Blu-ray players and even gaming consoles.
Once connected, the status of the various appliances appear on the LG SMART TV’s display, acting as an interface between users and devices.
The fridge also features a camera that allows keeping an eye on its contents.
You can remotely access the fridge’s cameras in real time from any location through your smartphone, and also use the Family Hub to order groceries online through the new “Groceries by MasterCard” smart fridge app. A motion sensor on the windows will also alert the user through a smart TV when detecting any unusual movement outside the home.
Samsung launched its SmartThings IoT platform at IFA past year, but has now revealed that its smart TVs will also connect with the Smart Things hub, allowing a central control for connected devices through their smartphone.
Samsung has not said when the smart fridge will be available or how much it will cost.
