Samsung introduces soundbar with Dolby Atmos tech
Samsung revealed prior to CES 2016 that it plans to show this week a soundbar equipped to handle the new Dolby Atmos surround sound format. The complete HW-K950 comprises a front soundbar, two wirelessly connected rear speakers, and a subwoofer.
The HW-K950 delivers 5.1.4-channel sound by using three forward-facing and two upwards-facing speakers.
Samsung has unveiled a new soundbar that promises to provide a Dolby Atmos experience without the need to stick a bunch of speakers to your ceiling.
You can find out more details about the new Samsung Audio devices over at Samsung at the link below.
But pair the HW-K950 up with a funky new Samsung SUHD TV, or a new Dolby Vision-capable TV, with all their incredible HDR skills, and you’re getting mighty close to simple home cinema perfection. This also means that ceiling-fitted speakers are not required for moving, 3D audio, the company explained. Samsung’s HW-K950 soundbar though is designed so that you don’t have to do anything other than plug and play. These ring-radiator-technology integrated omni-directional speakers have elegant designs that take less space and produce more quality sound.
Samsung also makes it easier than ever for customers to control their music simply and easily with the speakers’ touch-enabled, intuitive tap and swipe interface. That soundbar isn’t your typical speaker, though. The Wireless Audio 360 Series also offers new smart home functionality, including audible notifications and home cinema settings.
The entire lineup of new audio products will be on display-along with a heck of a lot more-at Samsung’s CES 2016 booth.
