Samsung Intros Galaxy Tab A Plus Without Much of a Fuss

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is slated to be the thinnest and the lightest tablet, given its size. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 Wi-Fi model can be reserved for the equivalent of $438 Dollars. The Galaxy Tab A was released early April, and now we get to meet its S Pen-friendly cousin. This slate was quietly on Samsung Belgium-France website without an official press release.

The hardware platform of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A Plus won’t blow you away, but it should be enough to provide a smooth Android experience. People can now enjoy galleries of vividly detailed photos and effortlessly shop online while viewing the most accurate images on the Galaxy Tab S2.

Samsung said the Super AMOLED display with 2,048×1,536 resolution makes the Galaxy Tab S2 perfectly designed for reading and consuming content, including e-books, magazines, Web pages and newsfeeds without unnecessary scrolling.

In addition, the Galaxy Tab S2 continually offers its advanced screen technology to display bright and natural content for a more comfortable visual experience.

Shipment figures from the first quarter of the year from Strategy Analytics show that “just” 51.9 million devices shipped globally, an 8% drop on the same period in 2014. Adaptive Display intelligently adjusts gamma, saturation, and sharpness based on the application, the color temperature of the viewing environment and ambient lighting.

The Galaxy Tab S2 will run with an Octacore processor, with one clocking in at 1.9GHz, and another at 1.3GHz. Here’s the difference between the two new tablets in terms of the specifications.

The tablet comes pre-loaded with anti-malware protection software, a fingerprint scanner, and a Microsoft Office Solutions suite that includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.

The two variant to come installed with Android 5.0 and to be mounted with 8MP primary camera and 2.1MP selfie lens.

Samsung has yet to reveal pricing for either model but has confirmed that the new Galaxy Tab S2 will come with either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage and as a WiFi only model as well as with 4G/LTE cellular connectivity.
