Samsung Notebook 7 Spin Price, Specs, Features
Samsung has introduced the Notebook 7 Spin, a new series of 13- and 15-inch hybrid laptops that it claims to be the ultimate entertainment system.
Upgrading to the 15-inch version bumps the processor to an Intel Core i7-6500U, a decent step up considering the $200 price jump, but there’s more too.
While that might not appeal to every mobile business warrior, the device comes with other features created to attract movie viewers, gamers and hard-core Web surfers. Display wise, the 360- degree touch display offers up incredible viewing angles, and can be transformed into notebook, tent, or tablet modes.
The 15.6-inch model, which features a sixth-generation Intel Core i7 processor, comes with either 12 GB ($999.99) or 16 GB ($1199.99) of memory.
Samsung will offer up to 1TB of hard drive storage or an optional SSD for some models. The 15.6-inch model will hit 100 percent after a 90-minute charge, while the 13.3-inch model will take 100 minutes to fully charge. “It has the unique ability to upgrade by adding an SSD to cut down on load times while also adding storage, as well as the ability to upgrade the RAM, enabling consumers to accomplish more at once”. Such features help make the Spin a “multimedia laptop that is ready for today and built for tomorrow”, noted Gary Riding, senior vice president for product marketing at Samsung Electronics America, in a statement.
If you’ve used devices like the Notebook 7 Spin before, then you will know that one of their biggest downsides has been battery life.
As a number of reviewers have noted, the Notebook 7 Spin appears to be made for users who enjoy binge-watching streaming video content on portable devices.
Samsung has a slim and svelte Notebook 7 Spin in store, arriving as a foldable Windows 10 convertible with cool specs and high portability.
The new laptops also aren’t short on ports.
The auto-backlit keyboard allows for comfortable typing in low-light conditions.
Samsung didn’t provide exact hours for battery life, but did mention how quickly the tablets can be charged: about 1 hour and 40 minutes for the 13-inch model and 1 hour and 30 minutes for the 15-inch model.
