Samsung phones getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow revealed
While it is no secret that Samsung would be working hard to bring Google’s newest Android version 6.0 codenamed Marshmallow to its Galaxy lineup, the manufacturer is yet to provide details about the roadmap and plan for the rollout.
Android 6.0 isn’t a huge visual overhaul, but it does include plenty of new features and improvements.

Android 5.1.1 update notification should soon appear on your Galaxy Note 4 or Note Edge device only if it runs stock Android on it. No devices running custom ROMs or any other types of customizations are going to be updated through official channels.
According to another leak, in the support page of T-Moble Samsung galaxy Note Edge is listed in “Manufacturer development” section which simply means that T-Mobile and Sasmung are preparing a new software update.
What’s more, apart from the four current Samsung smartphones, it is reported that there will be more other handsets from Samsung released late in 2013 and 2014 to acquire the Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates.
The Android 5.1.1 lollipop update will reach all AT&T Galaxy Note Edge and Galaxy Note 4 handsets; however, it may take a few time and users should wait patiently until that happens.
The list basically contains Samsung’s 2014 and 2015 flagship Galaxy models.
The roll out of Android 5.1.1 for all Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge users by AT&T should fix tons of problems that were found in Android 5.0, so you should be getting a much more improved performance out of your device.
It remains unclear at the moment if Samsung will officially announce the list of devices that are to be upgraded to Android 6.0.
With Android 5.0 Google slightly changed the lockscreen and made everything very clean and simple, and they’ve done the same with Android M. In the developer preview build you’ll only notice one change, and that is the addition of quick swipe to unlock right into voice controls for Google Now. This can be used to make a call, ask for directions, “go to gottabemobile.com” and any other voice command.
