Samsung rolling out Android Marshmallow upgrade to Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge
Samsung Galaxy S7 and its edged version are on the verge of being announced and a juicy leak has recently emerged from a very trustworthy source.
What this says is simple: Spigen obviously knows the dimensions and size of the Galaxy S7, and it has already designed and prepared its cases for the 2016 Samsung flagship. The updates for other Samsung Galaxy devices will also be released soon.
Samsung in Indonesia accidentally posted a video to YouTube (see below) showing off the S7’s features – including the fact that it will be waterproof, or at least water resistant, and have wireless charging capabilities.
According to Samsung, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update offers improved edge screen and new edge screen features. The update will expand the width of the panel along the edge of the phone being used by customers to reach the contacts list, apps, launch tools, news, sports scores and company stocks. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge variants could come with 3,000mAh and 3,600mAh batteries, respectively with support for Quick Charge feature.
This image, leaked on Weibo shows off the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge in all its glory, and the device is being called in a “deep black hue” and not the usual “black sapphire”, as per reports from SamMobile. The South Korean company will also be pulling the wraps from the Galaxy S7 Edge. Samsung is also likely to bring back the microSD card slot in the Galaxy S7, which was missing in the previous flagship.
Earlier the price of the Galaxy S7, S7 edge had been revealed by a a Netherlands website. The regular S7 will have only 5.1 inches screen as usual.
The update is rolling out around the globe so it doesn’t matter where you live as you will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow on your handset.
