Samsung’s 18 inch tablet could be coming to AT&T
The device has been spotted in the FCC database by Phone Arena, and according to the documents it’s coming to AT&T first in the US. The display by itself measures 18.6 inches, which lines up nearly perfectly with earlier reports of an 18.4-inch Samsung slate.
Samsung’s huge upcoming tablet has cropped up online more than once in recent times. It was said that they are going to release more details in October, but so far no announcements were made by Samsung. The purported
During its IFA 2015 event, Samsung displayed an elusive image of a tablet which was called the Galaxy View. The clear AT&T logo on the back suggests strongly that this will be sold by #2 carrier, but it’s unclear if it will be an exclusive. In addition, the sketch also confirms that the device will feature stereo speakers on its back.
Perhaps more revealing are the dimensions listed. The screen would be about 18.6-inches. Samsung will also throw in 32GB of internal storage. The device apparently measures 17.5 inches by 10.7 inches with a total diagonal length of 20.2 inches. A few sources claim that the Galaxy View will have a 5700 mAh battery, which should ensure a more than decent battery life. On the software side, the benchmark listed Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The device could also offer a display resolution of just 1920 x 1080 pixels, which seems a bit low for such a big tablet. The FCC is typically one of the last stops before a device hits the market, so the Samsung Galaxy View could hit AT&T momentarily.
