Samsung’s Galaxy S7 has the best OLED display in a smartphone yet
Android 6.0 Marshmallow does bring a hefty amount of features to the table such as Doze mode which checks if you’ve left your phone untouched and shuts off various processes in order to preserve battery life. Adoptable Storage would solve this problem for many users.
Adoptable Storage also formats and ties the microSD card to a specific smartphone, which Samsung believes could be confusing to users. In the first case, Storage Adoptable does not work.
These two smartphones are reportedly armed with microSD card slots but it doesn’t have support for Android 6.0 Marshmallow’s adoptable storage. All the similar features seen on the Galaxy S6 Edge will be making their way in to the Galaxy S6 Edge+ as well.
As with the previous years, the new LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7 will go head-to-head this 2016. There’s also the fact that once an external storage is “adopted”, it may no longer be used for file transfers. This behavior may be unanticipated by several users and the company does not want its users to lose their files (pictures, videos). The Adoptable Storage mainly targets the emerging markets wherein devices that only have 4-8GB of onboard storage are common. “We think that our model of using microSD for mass storage is more in-line with our owner’s (sic) desires and expectations for how microSD should behave”.
The LG G5 smartphone features a 5.3-inch Quad HD screen with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. Of course, the Note 5 is slightly faster as it runs on the newer 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex A53 processor with 4GB of RAM. Android 6.0 Marshmallow was the final name, and Google released the OS in October 2015 to coincide with the release of its latest Nexus smartphones, the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P.
Now, not to be outdone, LG has done exactly the same thing with the LG G5. This device is armed with a 16-MP rear-facing camera and 8-MP front-facing shooter.
