Samsung’s new Galaxy smartphones go on sale in Singapore from August 15
The Galaxy S6 Edge+ was unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event on Thursday, where the firm also announced that the long-awaited Galaxy Note 5 won’t see a release in the UK – not yet, at least.
Company sources confirmed that the Galaxy S6 edge+ would be launched in India later this month followed by Note 5 in September.
“The launch of the Galaxy S6 Edge+ delivers on this promise”. As for the hardware on the device, it comes with the same Exynos 64-bit octa-core 7420 processor which is present on the S6 Edge+.
These apps can, of course, be installed on most Android devices for free.
Verizon and T-Mobile have released Stagefright fix for their Galaxy Note Edge users.
The keyboard cover, basically adds a keyboard to your shiny new Samsung device.
Both the Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 come with built-in wireless charging now improved with fast charging.
Both phones have a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display – half an inch bigger than the current Edge – giving it a larger display than the iPhone 6 Plus made by arch rival Apple. Today, Samsung unveiled yet another new product, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Samsung appears to be going back and forth with the specifications of the Note series with internal storage size options, with one generation having several options, the next having fewer, then the next having more once again.
The company also revealed that its smart wallet service, Samsung Pay – which allows the phones to trigger payment card transactions – would go live in South Korea on 20 August. It can also be used at checkout counters that use traditional magnetic-strip card readers. Users will simply have to launch the stock camera app, sign in to YouTube and hit record. Price have yet to be announced for both phones.
