Samsung Shows Off Galaxy S7, S7 Edge

Sunday evening, just hours before the official start of Mobile World Congress 2016, Samsung hit us with some new phones: the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.

In a press demonstration, the cameras also seemed to require a noticeably shorter amount of time to focus on objects than the iPhone did. With IP68 certified, Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, you can immerse the phones up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.

Samsung has been constantly struggling to beat Apple and top the chart of best smartphones.

Android users can’t stop talking about the next Samsung Galaxy, and for good reason – it’s going to be epic.

Both screens feature a new “always-on display” mode so that information such as date, time and notifications are visible without having to unlock the phone.

The new Galaxy phones will be available in four different colours – Black Onyx, Gold Platinum, White Pearl and Silver Titanium. Prices will vary by carrier and region. We’re pleased to hear that the company has worked on adding up a bigger battery unit with 3000mAh and 3600mAh on Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge respectively.

Social networks, including Facebook Inc. and Google’s YouTube, recently starting supporting 360-degree videos-a format used by virtual reality hardware, and which on regular computers and mobile devices allows viewers to dynamically alter the angle they view a scene from.

Samsung, which misread demand for the S6 when it failed to produce enough three-sided screens for the Edge, said it won’t face the same problem this year.
