Samsung to Follow Apple, Carriers, With Device Leasing Plans
Apple worldwide marketing senior vice-president Phil Schiller speaks abut an iPhone upgrade program during its launch event in San Francisco, California. With Apple not using the new standard in their top-notch smartphones, some are skeptical of what the company is trying to achieve.
In addition to the two-year contracts are offered by Sprint and AT&T, they are also offering financing and leasing programs for the devices they offer.
In the meantime, the reports also claimed that the newly launched Galaxy Core Prime VE which is now listed on Samsung India e-store and will be available in silver, white and grey colors. The initiative helps Apple build a more direct relationship with customers by cutting out the carriers and softens the blow of off-contract prices. Considering the announcement that the Gear S2 will work on non-Galaxy Android phones, this news isn’t surprising.
Telsyte managing director Foad Fadaghi said Australia’s voracious technology consumers would likely embrace phone rental schemes as while smartphones were usually offered by carriers on a two-year contract, they were usually upgraded every year. However, Apple’s aluminum curved look of the iPhone 6 holds a nice grip and apart from this, there are only a few reasons to pick the iPhone 6 over the Samsung Galaxy S6.
Earlier this month, Apple released the newest versions of its premium smartphones, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, and included new ways for consumers to get their hands on the phones. The company’s best-known hardware products include the Macintosh line of computers, the iPod, the iPhone, and the iPad. The Samsung Galaxy S7 if it comes out with a magnesium alloy would be the most durable smart phone to come out.
With that being said and assuming that the latest rumors are true, it will be interesting to see what Huawei will eventually come up with after a couple of years of considering building its own stylus and smartphone combo. However, S Health is going to be attractive to those who don’t own a wearable, which is the majority of smartphone owners. Whether the Galaxy S7 will be a big upgrade or not we won’t find out until next year.
