Samsung to launch smartphone with foldable screen next year!
The 2015 IFA will be open to the public from September 4-9. However the report claims that LG’s foldable displays might not actually result in an LG smartphone with a foldable display.
Samsung just recently launched another high-end smartphone product line, but new rumors about their next flagship device have already started to circulate online. It appears to utilize another type of hinge mechanism, as well as some sort of elastic material to keep the display taut. There is another patent application which shows that it may be opened in a laptop-like configuration, instead of opening flat.
Going back to a statement they made past year , it has been in the buzz that Samsung may be finally working on a foldable display for the upcoming Galaxy S7. A tip posted on Chinese social media site Weibo claims that Samsung is now conducting a series of product testing called Project V or Project Valley, which allegedly uses a foldable smartphone that runs using both the Snapdragon 620 and 820 chipsets, 3 GB of RAM with microSD card slot for memory expansion, and a non-removable battery.
Samsung is expected to release its new bendable smartphone early next year, which could quite possibly be the 2016 CES that will be held in Barcelona, Spain in February. “There will be no company [except Samsung] that has this great production capacity by 2016”. The foldable design of this Smartphone features a pair of springs on either side of the hinge to power the entire system. If you have used big phablets, this might make it easy to fit the device into your pocket when it is folded.
