Samsung Z3 Has Been Officially Launched
The Z3 therefore follows on from the popular budget Samsung Z1, and has finally been made official. With the Prime Ministers “Make in India” call, there are many smartphone manufacturer who had already started production in India and Samsung is one of them. The Samsung Z3 is far from a powerful device, this is actually a quite basic entry-level phone, which is quite affordable, but you might argue there are far better-specced devices out there. The Tizen OS has seen significant growth as an ecosystem, the company said.
Samsung has officially announced the Samsung Z3. Despite rumors that it may also release in Europe, there was no mention of this at the launch. It will be offered in gold, black and silver colour variants.
Samsung Z3 has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 8490. Running on a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7730S SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM, the smartphone features 8GB of built-in storage that’s expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).
Coming to the camera, it has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture, on the front it has a 5MP selfie camera which can capture 120 degree wide selfies. Connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, GPS with A-GPS, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
The handset measures 141.6mm x 70mm x 7.9mm and it weighs 137g. Samsung Z3 comes preloaded with My Galaxy app, which offers India-centric services, local deals, content etc. It also features Samsung’s Mix Radio music streaming app, which offers 35 million songs, including 10 genres of Indian music. Exclusive online sales are through Snapdeal and the phone will also be available through offline channels. It will come with 1GB of free data for two months for Vodafone customers. Researcher Counterpoint said the predecessor Z1 smartphone was Samsung’s best-selling smartphone in India during the second quarter, thanks in part to its low price.
