San Jose Gains Nonstop London Flights
British Airways’ announcement that it will offer nonstop flights from Mineta San Jose global Airport to London starting next May – and on the lovely 787 Dreamliner, no less – is great news for residents of the South Bay, Santa Cruz and the Monterey Peninsula.
BA will begin flying from Heathrow to the Californian city from May 4 2016 when it will operate a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on the route.
“Our new daily service will offer fantastic direct flights between Silicon Valley and London, with onward connections to scores of destinations around the globe on our extensive world-wide network”.

Simon Brooks, senior vice president of the airline’s North America division said the company was eager to bring the most technologically advanced airplane to the tech center of the world.
A spokesperson for British Airways told Mail Online Travel: ‘We’ve listened to our customers and are reacting to their feedback so in World Traveller on the 787-9 we are increasing the width of seats, which will go up to 17.3 inches, in response to customer feedback.
