Sanchez Flores: Adebayor asked to train with Wa
Watford have turned down the chance to have Emmanuel Adebayor train with them.
Victories against Swansea and Newcastle have lifted Watford into mid-table but Flores is anticipating another testing afternoon against Alan Pardew’s side at Vicarage Road. But not at the moment can we put new players in the squad.
“He’s a good player and I love to have good players”.

Flores on Friday confirmed he did not want Adebayor training with his squad as he cannot be registered to play alongside them, but when the transfer window re-opens in the new year he could make a move for the player.
“It is positive news for us”.
Bar the suspended Valon Behrami and long-term absentee Joel Ekstrand – who is continuing his recovery from a knee ligament injury – the Spaniard has a full squad to choose from for the clash against the Eagles.
“The medical team are excellent, they are working very hard to prevent injuries”.
“We are passionate about these players but it is important they have a good feeling here at Watford”.
The 31-year-old Togo global striker wants to work on his fitness after being released from his Spurs contract earlier this month.
Manager Tim Sherwood, who got the best out of Adebayor during his time at Tottenham, recently told Sky Sports that he would consider a move for the Togolese striker, with Villa still looking to replace the goals lost with the sale of Christian Benteke.
“You never know, maybe it is possible”, Flores said when asked about wanting Adebayor in January.
