Sanders, Clinton to meet after final Dem primary Tuesday
Sanders had previously insisted he would continue his campaign through the convention, but he and his aides have been more muted about his plans in recent days.
“After we have that kind of discussion and after we can determine whether or not we are going to have a strong progressive platform, I will be able to make other decisions”, Sanders said on Meet the Press.
Warren endorsed Clinton last week after she locked up the Democrat nomination, and rumors have circulated in the media that the MA senator is on Hillary’s vice presidential short list.
Trump responded Sunday morning on Twitter, calling Clinton’s claims that he had mocked a disabled reporter “false”. John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign.
“He would also call the heads of companies like Pfizer, the Carrier Corporation, Ford and Nabisco and warn them that their products face 35 percent tariffs because they are moving jobs out of the country”. The ad tries to contrast Clinton and Trump, showing her as a “unifying” force not just for the Democratic Party but for the nation as a whole. It was productive, it was good, it was vintage Bernie, Tester said.

He’s on your TV all the time, saying those things that drive you nuts.
For Clinton, her second effort is evidence of a lesson learned, and it provides her with a head start in rebuilding part of the general election coalition that propelled Obama to two terms.
There have been some tense moments, however.
Sanders had worked to contest his final face-off with Clinton, holding a rally last Thursday in the city. Trump said he would never do that. “I would oppose the use of the word occupation for the very reason it undermines our common objective”, Wexler argued back.
“As for which foreign leader he would call first as president, he said, ‘they would not necessarily be a priority'”.
Within hours, Vice President Joe Biden and Massachusetts Sen.
Fort also noted that Sanders’ appeal among young voters crossed racial lines, foreshadowing that nominees after Clinton “will come from the progressive wing”.
The Republican National Committee says policies proposed by President Barack Obama and presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton would not have prevented the Orlando attacks. And while many of Sanders’ supporters in the audience hoped he would fight for $15 minimum wage, single-payer healthcare and free college at the convention, they knew he would eventually throw in the towel.
The former secretary of state easily beat rival Bernie Sanders in the District of Columbia, winning 79 per cent to his 21 per cent with more than two-thirds of the vote counted.
