Sanders Soars Past Clinton In Iowa
Contrasting Hillary with her chief contender for the Democratic nomination, Bernie Sanders, Mr. Clinton said that the nation needs “not anger but answers”.
Sanders told the crowd those numbers should put to rest any suggestion that he’s too nice or not electable enough to beat Republicans in November.
Clinton is still leading Sanders in the RealClearPolitics average of Iowa polls by 4.7 points, but recent polls have found that the Democratic presidential race has tightened considerably since the autumn. Sanders has a packed schedule over two days in the Granite State, including stops today in Hooksett, Nashua and Wolfeboro.

“Her diehard supporters are feeling confident, but inside the campaign there is concern as much that she could lose to Sanders in Iowa and/or New Hampshire as what a long protracted, costly battle with Sanders could mean throughout the spring”.
“I am not interested in ideas that sound good on paper but will never make it in the real world”, Clinton said.
Over the past week or so, Clinton has watched as her national polling lead over Sen. “A president has to deal in reality”, Clinton said at an event at Simpson College, in Indianola, IA.

No one in politics is better than Bill Clinton at diagnosing the mood of the electorate, of putting voters’ anxieties and frustration into the larger context of the performance of government and the economy.
Clinton says she supports a “no-fly zone” over rebel-controlled northern Syria, something Sanders and President Obama oppose.
“Hillary Clinton is the only candidate committed to common-sense gun violence reform and she talks about it everywhere she goes”, Ferguson said.
According to a Monmouth College/KBUR-AM survey, Hillary leads Sanders by 9 points in Iowa. Earlier this week, former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin also endorsed Donald Trump.
Clinton also took issue with comments Sanders made during the last Democratic debate, when he called to “move as aggressively as we can to normalize relations with Iran”. Though Clinton held a 46% to 44% lead in that category in December, Sanders has now blown past her – with 57% surveyed saying he more closely represents their views, compared to just 38% for Clinton.
