Sania Mirza, Saina Nehwal to Get Padma Bhushan

65-year-old Rajinikanth, one of the most celebrated actors of his generations with fans according him the status of a demi-god, is already a recipient of Padma Bhushan.

Famous and Prestigious awards of India Padma Awards 2016 nominees and winners list has been out. He is now making two movies – Kabali, opposite Radhika Apte, and the sequel to his 2010 blockbuster Enthiran.

As per ANI, among those who have been selected for Padma Vibhushan awards for this year include – Yamini Krishnamurthi, Girija Devi, Ramoji Rao, Shri Shri Ravi Shankar, Dr Viswanathan Shanta.

India’s biggest Superstar Rajinikanth has been honored the Padma Vibushan, the country’s second highest civilian award.

Former US Ambassador to India Robert D Blackwill, sportspersons Saina Nehwal and Sania Mirza and Indu Jain of Bennett, Coleman & Co, will get Padma Bhushan. Four persons have been chosen for the award posthumously. This is the best news of my life. “Appa is now Padma vibhushan shri Rajinikanth”. “I also feel also a sense of responsibility towards my country because when you are honored like this it is your duty to deal with responsibility in a different manner”, he said. “This announcement today makes it special for me when I’m filming overseas for my new film Shivaay“. “Congrats to my other half with lots of love and pride”.

The awards are conferred in three categories, namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.
