Santa parade heralds Christmas season
Today’s all about the turkey.
The year was 1956 and the magic of the holiday season was drawing near.
Big Santa is about twice as tall as the White House Christmas tree.
‘We run a packed programme of Christmas events and activities but this has been incredibly special – not just for Tilly, but for all the other deaf and hard of hearing children who came along to meet signing Santa’.

A construction class at Lincoln Land Community College did numerous renovations to the home’s exterior, while Stewart’s Auto Body & Sales contributed new doors, Sablotny Paint & Floors contributed new flooring and Nancy Bork handled decorating duties. Children can have their photo taken with Santa for a nominal fee.
“It’s a fun task”, he said.
The Santa House tour does not include the upstairs part of the house. That gives us a lot of pleasure and enjoyment to see that..
“I think it is because of the quality of life”.
“Once all of the spectacular holiday performances are complete, Santa will make his grand debut, and will light our 35-foot holiday tree, as fireworks explode over the square and magical snow falls over the crowd”, Espinosa said.
‘We had a bit of a laugh when she asked for a turtle but I’m not sure she means a real one.
There are now 19 entries for the parade and more are welcome.
“I probably would have paid that much for pictures this year”, Sulaiha Bitar, a Voorhees mother of three, said before the company switched course.
“Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town” is one of the most popular Christmas movies of all time.
The final straw soon came, he said. And Saturday at 11 a.m., the Chamber has set up a free viewing of a kid-friendly movie.
Santa will bring up the end of the parade. “It’s not very comfortable in the middle of June and July, but it’s nice when Christmas rolls around”. Anything we do, we are always trying to promote local businesses. “Riding the fire truck with all the streets so crowded is great”.
Appreciating the parade crowd is something Nancy Harm of Harmony Acres also delights in.
“If somebody decides tomorrow that they want to build a float and show up and be in the parade, as long as it has lights and music and (the theme) is Christmas …” she said.
According to the BIA website, “the Carleton Place BIA Whoville Santa Claus Parade is where we will stand heart to heart and hand to hand listening to singing and dancing welcoming the season’s meaning!”
The start of Christmas is the arrival of Santa.
