Sapulpa police officer killed in Midwest City
Trey Pritchard, 46, an 18-year Sapulpa police officer, was found dead with his cousin Jeffrey Grafton in a room at the Traveler’s Inn on Saturday night, Midwest City police said.
Pritchard and Jeffrey Grafton were at the motel to recover a pickup truck that was believed to be stolen, officials said.

Clabes said family members told officers that Jonathan Grafton had stolen his father’s truck and that Pritchard and Jeffrey Grafton tracked the pickup to the motel using the vehicle’s GPS system. He and his girlfriend, Daphne Mason, 21, have Oklahoma County arrests warrants for first-degree murder, Clabes said.
Clabes said family members told officers that Jonathan Grafton had stolen his father’s truck and that Pritchard and Jeffrey Grafton tracked the pickup to the motel using the vehicle’s GPS system.
About 10 p.m. Saturday, a motel clerk called police to report an unresponsive patron inside a room.
Both Jonathan Grafton and Mason are believed to be from the Sapulpa area, Clabes said.
KFOR The off-duty cop and his cousin apparently found the truck at this Traveler’s Inn in Midwest City by using its Global Positioning System device, Police Chief Brandon Clabes said Sunday.
Jonathan Grafton and Mason had leased the room on Saturday morning, the chief said.
He said anyone who might know of Grafton and Mason’s whereabouts to call local law enforcement or the Midwest City Police Department at 405-739-1306.
They say two people were on the bike at the time of the accident.
