Sarah Michelle Gellar WILL Reprise Her Role In The Cruel Intentions Pilot!

Her Instagram post tonight included a photo of her with Kumble and exec producer Neal Moritz from the original production juxtaposed to one in present day, gearing up for the new NBC production.

The story is set 15 years after the film as Kathryn attempts to control Sebastian’s son, Bash Casey (Taylor John Smith) while maintaining her grip on Valmont International.

It looks like the TV gods have answered our prayers because she is IN FACT going to play Kathryn Merteuil on the small screen!

Also tipped to be cast in the pilot is Samantha Logan (The Fosters) who will play Cassidy, the spoiled daughter of Kathryn’s husband Pascal. She will play Naomi, a force to be reckoned with having recently returned from Capitol Hill with the hopes of being the first black Republican congresswoman in the history of California.
