Sarah Palin and Donald Trump both love Trump
“I’ll cover this in my interview with Donald Trump and other candidates tonight on the One America News Network show ‘On Point, ‘” she revealed. “You’re seeing some idiots in the press”, Palin said, referring both to Trump’s feud with Univision anchor Jorge Ramos as well as her perception that the news networks’ are twisting Trump’s words for their own gain.
The interview started with high praise from the former vice presidential nominee, who commended the Trump campaign for leading a true “movement”. Interest in a Trump-Palin showdown was so high that the channel’s official website was overwhelmed by traffic hours before airtime, crashing the site around 3:00 PM this afternoon.
As in-focus civilians flowed up the Trump Tower taking selfies in the background, an inexplicably out-of-focus Donald Trump sought to explain his rising poll numbers on Sarah Palin’s janky new program on an unknown right-wing news network.
“He is crushin’ it in the polls”. “But we also won with the moderates, with the poor, with the rich. We won on every category”, Trump said.
He added: ‘We have a complex tax code that nobody understands.
How is the US economy affecting the less fortunate, asked Palin, because: “I know that’s where your heart is … in this working class”. “We have a duty to fix them, not necessarily spending more money, but by empowering people to live their lives with dignity and respect”. Trump said he figured out who Ramos was and told Palin the outspoken Univision host was simply “trying to put on a show”.
“You saw that. I love the Bible, and I’m Protestant, I’m Presbyterian”. “And it’s really simple: You look at what’s happening with the vets”. What she gets in return, apart from some angry “Why are you handing that RINO a platform?” e-mails, I’m not sure. When asked his favorite verse – surprise, surprise – he couldn’t name one.
“The White House is not truthful”, Trump responded.
He didn’t refuse the softball from Palin, however, saying, “I don’t know if it’s [a] gotcha, but [it] probably is”.
Senator Obama, what is your favorite Bible verse? “Get out there and let the people know what you stand for!” That’s the reason I’m running for president, because I want to restore that.
Her guest was none other than presidential hopeful Donald Trump, in what was a match made in media heaven.
