“I want to have frank discussions with the relevant officials in India because we can’t delay preparations for too long and we need to know where we stand”, he said.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Tuesday that wicket-keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed is likely to lead the Pakistan A team in the series against England Lions to be played in the UAE this December.

Chairman PCB said PCB was with no option but to organize its super league overseas as leading cricketing players were not ready to visit Pakistan. He said that the Indian cricket board is also waiting for the green signal from its government only.
This MOU was signed at the time of previous Indian regime and now the BCCI has taken the stance that it is imperative to get the permission of the new Government he said.
Shaharyar, replying to a question at a press conference here on Monday after resuming office from a 40-day long annual vacation, said: “The decision on PSL was taken after thorough consideration”. “We have also asked the PCB global cricket department to organise more and more worldwide tours for the teams”. “But we have conveyed to our broadcasters our views about their alleged involvement in any rebel league and the bearing it could have on the existing contract”.
Talking to APP, a PCB official said Sarfraz will lead the Pakistan A team in the series against England Lions. “A pool of 52 players has been formed who will be tested in all three formats”.
Speaking about the national team, he said a total of 15 T20 matches will be played by the Pakistan cricket team before T20 World Cup in India next year.
