Saturday forecast: Partly sunny with highs in the mid- to upper 50s
The first raindrops should start falling Tuesday night, said Diana Henderson, a forecaster with the National Weather Service, with a quarter-inch to a half-inch predicted for most parts of the region, with a few select spots seeing up to an inch of rainfall. There is only a 3% chance that we will see measurable snow in Salisbury.
Mostly cloudy skies are forecast for Wednesday. Mostly sunny with highs in the 20s next weekend.
Tuesday: A chance of rain before 10am, then showers likely, mainly between 10am and 4pm. We have a cold front moving towards the area that will give us an increasing chance of rain today, light winds become southwesterly 5-10, the high near 53.
So our weather improves for Friday, and temperatures won’t be too chilly… Yet… At best, only isolated, very light showers are expected in Houston through Thanksgiving. Monday afternoon highs look to top out in the mid to upper 60s across the valley and the 50s for the mountains.
Meanwhile back home in the KC area…really we have no weather issues through Tuesday.
Thanksgiving is mostly cloudy and mild.
Another cold front will approach on Saturday. Oh and the winds will again be howling meaning the wind chills will be tanking behind the front.
What about wintry precipitation.
The exiting rain will allow cold air to rush into the east Sunday night and Monday morning.
If you’re heading to Stillwater for Bedlam, pack the layers and the rain gear as it’ll be a raw, cold day with temperatures in the 30s. For right now holding off on any potential moisture as we keep an eye on this feature as it progresses through the forecast.
