Saudi Arabia hits back at Trump ‘threats’ of sanctions over missing journalist

Turkish officials are not commenting on reports that the government has told USA officials it has audio and video proof that Khashoggi was killed in the consulate.

Later at the White House, he reiterated that there would be “powerful consequences” for Saudi Arabia.
Ms Cengiz, a doctoral student in Istanbul, said she was still hoping Khashoggi was alive.

Quoting an official source, SPA reported that Saudi Arabia would retaliate and respond to any measure against it with bigger measures.
Meanwhile, local reports have claimed that authorities have an audio recording of Khashoggi’s murder.
But there’s been no official reaction from any Arab government, and no condemnation from the Arab media. Turkish officials told The Associated Press one of those men was an “autopsy expert”. They’ve also alleged that they have video of the slaying, but not explained how they have it.
There have been claims the reporter managed to use his Apple Watch to record audio evidence of his own torture and murder.
However unlike iPhones, Apple watches do not have a fingerprint ID unlock function.
Soon, Turkey began leaking its suspicions to the media.

The statement came hours after Saudi Arabia’s state-run Saudi Press Agency hit back at the growing chorus of global voices threatening punishment if the Saudi state is found with blood on its hands.

A Saudi team has arrived in Turkey to investigate Khashoggi’s disappearance. Meanwhile, Turkey has said it will search the Saudi Consulate for evidence, but that has yet to happen.
A joint statement by the three foreign ministers called for a credible investigation to establish the truth about what happened and ensure those responsible for Mr Khashoggi’s disappearance were held to account. The information circulating within decision-making circles within the kingdom have gone beyond the rosy language used in the statement and discuss more than 30 potential measures to be taken against the imposition of sanctions on Riyadh.
