Scattered showers & storms possible this weekend
Overnight lows cool into the low-mid 50’s under partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will get all the way into the mid and upper 80s south and east of the Black Hills.
Tonight: Any isolated evening showers & storms will end after sunset, then mostly clear. A few t-storms will be possible, but severe weather threat looks pretty low. In fact, there’s a tornado watch in effect for much of Northern New York and Vermont. Highs will climb into the mid-70s Saturday afternoon, which is still above average for Indianapolis in early May.
Have a good weekend.
Sunday’s showers: Sunday clearly shapes up as the better day of the weekend weather-wise. This means it’s spurts of showers with thunderstorms.
The next wave of showers, with a few thunderstorms, will move through Michigan Thursday afternoon and evening. We will also have a cold front approach the area Sunday night. While we do have chances for rain everywhere this morning, the highest rain chances exist the farther north you go. We didn’t see a ton of sunshine and we did have some showers this morning, but at least it stayed warm with highs in the 70s! Of all three of them, the one on Wednesday is the most robust, and so we may need to watch out for the chances of stronger storms with it. High temperatures on Friday will again reach the 60s to right around the 70-degree mark.
