Schefter: Signs piling up against Chip Kelly return to Philadelphia
When I think of the Eagles, I think of players that embraced the city like Brian Dawkins, Seth Joyner, or Jeremiah Trotter.
“I think the momentum and signs seem to be piling up against a Chip return to Philadelphia”, Schefter said as a guest on Sirius XM NFL Radio.
“I’ll tell you, I don’t think I’d be worse than 4-6.”
“I just think this year’s been really tough for us and I’m not sure what the best move is moving forward, but you never know what’s going to happen”. It was an ugly scene. “You know they are still in the thick of that division race, let’s not forget that”. I think he’s exhausted of the situation there … just my read, from afar. I certainly would include him in my questions marks of coaches that we’ll be tracking in January. Again, like we clarified last night the quotes of Schefter were pure speculation.
As Chip Kelly’s ship continues to sink deeper into the abyss by the week, more and more reports surface of dysfunction within the team as well as the possibility of this being Kelly’s final season with the Eagles.
Kelly had a 46-7 record in four seasons coaching at Oregon.
Kelly has two years left on his five-year deal with the Eagles.
To say that the Chip Kelly experiment has been a disaster year might be the understatement of the 2015-16 National Football League season.
When asked by the media in Detroit about his current job status, Kelly gave a vague answer saying, “Oh, I have a job”.
It’s good to know that out of everything that’s gone on this season, in Lane Johnson’s mind the thing that stands out the most is that the fans booed his team after they played a downright lousy game with their season on the line. Is Chip Kelly 100 percent to blame, and if so, what happens with the Eagles in 2016?
