Schwarzenegger is no Trump on ‘Apprentice’

That’s down at least a third from the premiere of the last Trump-hosted “Celebrity Apprentice”.

On the plus side for NBC, Chris Hardwick-hosted game show “The Wall” held onto most of the “Celebrity Apprentice” audience, with a 1.2 in the demo and 4.54 million viewers.

This season’s 16 celebrities were previously split up into two teams – men vs women.

The first Monday of the new year was a busy one for the broadcast networks.

The men’s team was far more creative and enthusiastic than the women.

The scenes: Team Prima shoots video at a local boxing gym featuring Polizzi and Ali in the ring; Team Arete showed images of each of the celebrities smiling during multiple scenarios, including while eating messy chicken wings. After each challenge, someone fails to hit the mark and is fired.

The Rose Bowl, which did not end until almost halfway through The New Celebrity Apprentice’s premiere, was close until the final seconds, so there were likely at least a few viewers that decided not to turn away for Schwarzenegger’s debut.

Meanwhile, it has been nearly exactly a year since Neil walked offstage after Motley Crue’s final show in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve, 2015. The contestants include ex-NFL players, television hosts, reality TV stars, singers well past their prime, and a YouTube star.

For “The New Celebrity Apprentice”, the question really is: Is Schwarzenegger better than Trump?

The numbers were down more than 43% from the last new episode of the Apprentice in 2015. Yahoo View is the former free Hulu service and will list five current episodes at a time.

The celebrities are competing to be crowned the victor for their favourite charities. In the show’s past history, approximately $15 million has been raised for charitable causes.
