Schwarzenegger reprises role in ‘Terminator Genisys’ – Today’s Zaman
I don’t see anything more appropriate than me having a good time. But an unexpected turn of events creates an altered timeline.
Following the less than impressive Terminator movies since the second film Terminator 2: Judgment Day, many fans were less than excited about the announcement of the new movie Terminator Genisys. Jason Clarke portrays John Connor and T-3000, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese, Lee Byung-Hun as the T-1000, J.K. Simmons as Detective O’Brien and Matt Smith, famous for being the 12 Doctor of Doctor Who, appears as The Terminator T-5000.
Schwarzenegger returns to the role of the terminator he played in the first movie and even speaks the line which became the star’s oft-quoted catchphrase, “I’ll be back”. Nothing has changed.
In a recent interview with Daily Express, the “Kindergarten Cop” stud discussed his 1997 heart surgery, admitting that he wasn’t willing to accept the gravity of the situation- “I have been in denial all my life”. Tennis, skiing, running, bike-riding, and all. “Older but not obsolete”. Hopefully it gets better once the Arnolds collide.
The production hired a bodybuilder with “a Mr. Universe physique” to play the younger version of Schwarzenegger in the fight and then spent a year using computer graphic overlays to make him look like the first Terminator. But Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) is keen to talk about her role as Sarah Connor.
“The latest, the last death, was definitely… that was a tough one, out of nowhere”, she said. “So getting that close up of me looking petrified and not wanting it to happen was just lots of laughter”.
