Schweinsteiger has no ‘personal problems’ with Mourinho
Last week, Jose Mourinho admitted that that it would be “very difficult” for Schweinsteiger to feature for United this season. He’s playing every match, every minute.
“My dream is to play for Manchester United”, the 32-year-old told reporters at a Germany news conference on Tuesday, reflecting on his bad luck with injuries last season.
“Both Ibrahimovic and I have started the season in great shape, both scoring goals”, he said.
“But as I said, it’s my absolute dream and goal (to play for United again), but we’ve got to see what the situation is”.
Speaking ahead of Germany’s friendly with Finland, which marks Schweinsteiger’s worldwide farewell, he said: “My absolute dream would be to play for Manchester United and to help them with their goals”.
“Of course we have had talks and I have no problem with Jose Mourinho”.
But the midfielder informed the club that he meant to stay at Old Trafford at least until January.
The game against Manchester City is their first big test after the Community Shield clash against Leicester City and it will also be a face off and the beginning of another chapter in the Mourinho vs Guardiola story, this time in England. I will definitely not stop playing football. He concluded by saying that its a “privilege” for him to be working with such fantastic players.
Jose Mourinho has promised to hand Zlatan Ibrahimovic special treatment ahead of Manchester United’s derby date with Manchester City by giving the Swedish forward an ‘a la carte’ holiday during the worldwide break.
