SDCC 2016: Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’ Comic-Con Trailer
Director Patty Jenkins, actors Gal Gadot, Chris Pine and Connie Nielsen attend the Warner Bros. presentation during Comic-Con, on July 23, 2016 in San Diego, California.
Comic-Con delivered some huge trailers for superhero fans, including an action-packed Wonder Woman trailer and a Justice League trailer which renewed hopes for those who saw the rather disappointing Batman vs. Superman offering.
There were a couple of trailers that were shown that haven’t been posted yet, however, including Lego Batman. The first installment is due for release on November 17, 2017, and the other is set to be released on June 14, 2019.
While this trailer is clearly an introduction to the formation of the Justice League, it does everything it needs to in order to hook the audience.
The past superhero movie collaborations of Warner Bros. and DC Cinematic Universe have been widely criticized for being overly dark and dreary. Stay tuned for more Justice League movie news.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. There is one scene where he meets up with Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and another where he meets up with Barry Allen (also known as the Flash, played by Ezra Miller). This Justice League preview makes it clear that the movie will have lighter and funnier moments interspersed in the narrative.
Look, yeah, the hype for this movie is so strong that it feels like we’ve seen a million Suicide Squad trailers over the last few weeks, but you know you’re going to watch this one, so just go ahead and do it. In the teaser seen in Hall H of Comic-Con, fans laughed at Batman cracking jokes. She also described how she undertook two hours of weight training, two hours of sword training and two hours of horse training every day in preparation for the role.
Everyone was surprised when Ben Affleck did well as Batman.
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure: “The LEGO® Batman Movie”. Fans will probably get goosebumps finally seeing the members of the League, sans Superman, of course, together.
