Seahawks fan starts online petition to ban Cam Newton from Seattle stadium

The petition calls to ban Newton from the Seattle stadium from 2016-2017.

Now, the 12s are hoping to bar Newton from the Seahawks stadium when the Panthers visit in 2016. “‘This should teach him to put his arrogance in check!!” In his letter to the Seahawks, he adds, “He dislikes Washington as a whole anyways, so why not move to make this possible”.

Seahawks fans had no issue with Newton coming into Seattle prior to this season. The date of that game will be announced in late April or early May. Panthers fans love him but fans of other teams in the National Football League may not always feel the same.

The trend started in November when someone wanted Fox Sports commentatorsJoe Buck and Troy Aikman banned from Seahawks games.

Tilton’s petition had more than 1,000 supporters as of 1 p.m. CT, largely consisting of Seahawks fans.

That petition went on deaf ears.

The former Heisman-Trophy-National Championship-rookie of the year-winner could win the regular season MVP, Super Bowl, and Super Bowl MVP in one spectacular season. The NFL won’t stop Newton from playing in Seattle based on this.
