SEAL’s Widow Gets Emotional Ovation During Trump Speech

She clapped and cried while receiving a standing ovation when Trump recognized the sacrifice made by her and her husband, Fox News reports.

Reuters, citing US military officials, reported that “Trump approved his first covert counterterrorism operation without sufficient intelligence, ground support or adequate backup preparations”. “They got tremendous amounts of information”.

She was a surprise guest whose presence in the First Lady’s box wasn’t announced in advance by the White House.

Some accuse the administration of going ahead with the raid though it produced no significant intelligence.

Navy SEAL William “Ryan” Owens was killed during the raid. A $70 – $90 million aircraft was damaged and had to be destroyed to prevent it from being taken by enemies.

The success of the raid has been publicly debated, and the White House has continued to defend the operation.

The raid in Yemen occurred in late January during the second weekend of Trump’s presidency.

Mr Pence said the data Mr Owens died helping to collect will “lead to the safety and security of the American people”.

The Defense Department now has three open investigations into the raid – one for Owens’ death, one for the civilian deaths and one for the destroyed MV-22 Osprey aircraft.

Her prominent presence comes just days after Ryan Owens’ father revealed that he rebuked the President and his daughter when they flew to Dover Air Force Base to meet Owens’ body.

Last week, he branded the raid a “stupid mission” and called for an investigation.

While a third added: “I think the Democrats really hurt themselves with the American people”.
