Sean Price, Hip-Hop Veteran and Heltah Skeltah Rapper, Dies at 43

“It is with beyond a heavy heart that Duck Down Music is sadly confirming that Sean Price passed away early this morning in his Brooklyn apartment, Saturday, August 8th, 2015″, his reps said in a statement. He was just 43 years old.
The cause of death was not immediately known.
In additional to being a respected artist, Sean Price interviewed a number of rap figures, including Mac Miller, Harry Fraud and Scarface. Sean was also a member of the Boot Camp Clik and Random Axe.
Price’s latest album, “Mic Tyson“, was released in 2012. He released his first solo album, Monkey Barz, in 2005.
The Brownsville MC initially stamped Duck Down records on the map as one half of Heltah Skeltah. Beyond music, Price’s popularity extended thanks to viral videos, often making light of other celebrities, natural disasters, and personal observations.
“He’s survived by his wife, and his three children…Sean’s family and friends are asking for time to grieve and process the news”.
