Actor Albert Brooks, who gives voice to the character of Marlin in the movie, spoke out on Twitter, as did others.
Writer and director Judd Apatow additionally used the screening to criticize Trump, comparing the reality show producer’s attention span to that of Finding Dory’s central character, who suffers from short-term memory loss.
He said that detained travelers were “temporarily inconvenienced” and that the order was meant to “make sure that somebody is inconvenienced a little”.
Judd Apatow replied to tweets about the Dory screening by saying Trump “relates to Ellen’s character who has no attention span”.
