Search for missing singer resumes Wednesday
A country singer disappeared while on a duck hunting trip in northern Oklahoma, and officials fear for his safety after finding the body of another man who was on the trip, Reuters reports.
The disappearance comes just days after his friend Chase Morland sent a haunting, final tweet about the duo embarking on a duck-hunting trip during a winter storm in Oklahoma.
Still, Craig’s family is hopeful that if his older dog could survive the capsized boat and extreme weather conditions that the 29-year-old could, too. Only God & time can put us back together’. Rescuers had to halt their operations Monday night when it got too dark, hours after finding Morland’s body.
The band was scheduled to perform at Rev Room in Little Rock on New Year’s Eve and then in Oklahoma City on January 4.
Strickland is married for former Miss Arkansas victor Helen Wisner Strickland. “Still need prayers”, Helen Strickland posted on Twitter late Monday.
“Craig is still missing please pray 4 safe return”.
The search for Strickland halts each night and resumes at daybreak.
The other band members of Backroad Anthem also continue to tweet for prayers and support for their missing lead singer.
The search for the Fayetteville, Ark., will resume Wednesday morning, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol. They were very close. Backroad Anthem has opened for the Casey Donahew Band, Eli Young Band and Toby Keith. They’ve performed with notable country music artists including Justin Moore and Dierks Bentley. The Arkansas- based band was formed in 2012. Nothing I can share on Craig or Chase at this time!
