Early Sunday, the state Justice Department announced that the Amber Alert for her has been cancelled, but the search for Maci continues.
A suspect, John Lieba, was apprehended in Wolf Point while driving around after several witnesses at the park identified him, Allmer said.
At about 2:30 p.m. Saturday Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office reported 20-year-old John Lieba was taken into custody in connection to Lilley’s disappearance but the girl had not been found at that point.
Authorities say a suspect is in custody, yet the child remains missing. Early Sunday, the Amber Alert had been cancelled, but the search continues.
The County Sheriff’s office has been joined a number of agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the hunt for the four-year-old.
Witnesses told police that they had seen man taking the little girl from a park “against her will”, NBC reports.
The youngster is around three feet tall, weighs about 60 pounds and has short, dark hair, according to the Great Falls Tribune.
