Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Rams Preview and Prediction
The Rams defense struggled to contain Dallas but forced two turnovers and stopped a crucial two-point conversion attempt late in the contest. This one isn’t too complicated.
The Seattle Seahawks tried to get cute against the Los Angeles Rams, and it didn’t go so well.
He also praised the work that Coach Sean McVay has done with the offensive line.
Seahawks-Rams is now a matchup between the NFL’s oldest coach in Carroll, 66, and the youngest head coach in modern National Football League history in McVay (Carroll worked with McVay’s grandfather at one point).
This is going to be interesting.
With running back Chris Carson on injured-reserve, and C.J. Prosise nursing an ankle injury, the depth of Seattle’s backfield will be tested. Jared Goff doesn’t turn the ball over. Rawls is no slouch.
Russell Wilson has been running for his life from opposing defenses since last season. The Seahawks lost 9-3 past year in a Week 2 game whose only redeeming aspect was that Russell Wilson proved definitively that he is better playing on one leg than Charlie Whitehurst was while playing on two. Greg Zuerlein was the unlikely hero, booting seven field goals to bail out an offense that bogged down often in the red zone. Seattle’s five offensive linemen have had trouble blocking four and three pass rushers this season. Coleman recorded his first career interception last week against the Colts, which he returned 28 yards for a touchdown. The other most improved stat has been his completion percentage. Pete Carroll indicated Rawls is expected to play extensively vs. Rams’ unimpressive run defense.
Thomas’ season ended early last year due to a broken leg, but it’s good to see him come back and be the same player we’ve enjoyed over the years.
“They’ve done a great job when they’ve been in there and both of them have had to play a substantial amount”, Sherman said on Wednesday.
Well, this is weird.
And now? Now there’s the distinct possibility that the Rams might actually be good.
The Los Angeles Rams will likely be without starting free safety Lamarcus Joyner for the second straight game when the team takes the field Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.
Rams receiver Sammy Watkins vs. Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman: This should be fun.
LOS ANGELES The Seahawks got up for game day here to another typically ideal Southern California day. Russell Wilson completed 21 of 26 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns.
There’s a clear path to victory here for the Rams.
A win on Sunday would give the Seahawks their first road win of the Season, and would put them in a tie for first place heading into their bye week.
The Rams are just 1-7-1 against the spread in their last nine home games, are 1-9-1 against the number in their last 11 games versus NFC opponents, and are winless at 0-4 at the betting window in their last four games versus NFC West opponents.
