Seattle students turn out to protest Trump
Rockville police said a Richard Montgomery High School student will be charged with assault after a fight broke out Wednesday morning in the city during a protest of the election of Republican Donald Trump as president.
Trump incurred strong controversy with many of his statements considered discriminated and protests have erupted across the country since his election.
Some of the students said they were calling on universities and colleges to declare themselves to “declare sanctuary”.
Students in Washington, D.C walked out of Woodrow Wilson Senior High School in protest against Trump on Tuesday, and students from several other schools joined in, CBS DC reported.
In a video message released Wednesday evening, Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Jack Smith said he is “asking and expecting all students to remain in school and participate in the daily educational program as intended”.
A student video posted to Twitter on November 10 showed several boys making apparent Nazi salutes, with the person who captured the video writing, “Montgomery County, Maryland”. No charges were filed, but the incident is under investigation.
The majority of students appeared to be from D.C. Public Schools, however some said they were from Montgomery County Public Schools.
“It’s important for us to let people who support Donald Trump and support his racism and sexism, that you are the minority”.
Barchi said Rutgers would “stand together with all our students”, adding that “we will protect student confidentiality and will not share private information unless required by law or a court order”.
In a rare instance, hundreds of students of Los-Angeles area walked out of their classrooms to register their protest against Trump, Los Angeles Times and media reports said.
In the NY tri-state area, students at numerous NY and New Jersey universities joined in protest.

Some of the protests were organized by Movimiento Cosecha, which calls for “permanent protection, dignity and respect for the immigrant community”.
During his presidential campaign, Trump came under attack due to his controversial remarks on climate change, undocumented immigrants, Muslim Americans and so forth.
High school students staged the walkout in protest of Donald Trump and marched on Pennsylvania Avenue toward his recently opened hotel, located just blocks from the White House. This is an intramural scrimmage. “We all deserve a chance to be a part of America”. After gathering at City Hall, the crowd eventually dispersed, with the school district even providing some buses to help get the students back to campuses.
Protesters say they’re upset about Trump’s positions on immigration, the environment and LGBT rights, among other issues.
