Second bomb threat at Mashpee High
Mashpee police and firefighters and the Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad responded to Mashpee High School for the February 1 bomb threat.
Students are returning to class at Jupiter High School which was evacuated earlier Tuesday morning following a threat.
Mashpee and other schools north of Boston received the bomb scare this morning, he said.
The school was searched, but nothing was found and the threat was deemed not credible, said Gail Hannan, administrative assistant to the superintendent. According to NECN, Mashpee wasn’t the only school to receive a threat today. Threat at Jupiter H.S. unfounded.
Students have been taken to the Community Center and can not be released at this time.
“The investigation is active and ongoing”, Maccioli said.
The bomb threat was an automated robocall, very similar in nature to the ones made January 15 to four Cape Cod schools.
The spokesman said indications were the call was a hoax.
