Security Officials Identify One Assailant in Paris Attacks, Chasing Another
Authorities say they have formally identified a suicide attacker at the national soccer stadium, and another who attacked a restaurant.
It’s possible that suspects directly involved in Friday’s Paris terror attacks remain at large, a French counterterrorism source close to the investigation told CNN on Sunday.
Investigators in France, Belgium, Greece and Germany are now trying to find out who these men were, how they carried out such a vast coordinated attack, and why.
The news of a ninth suspect follows an announcement from the brother of Salah Abdeslam, the eighth suspected Paris attacker, who urged Salah to turn himself in as authorities step up their already-extensive manhunt. Police have also appealed people to help them in tracing the suspect, but warned people, not to approach Salah, as “he is dangerous”.
According to Le Monde, the names of brothers came to spot light after police recovered a black Volkswagen Polo near paris.

Abdeslam has been identified as the renter of a auto used in the attack.
Prosecutors on Sunday disclosed a growing Belgian connection to the Paris attacks as Premier Charles Michel conceded that a Brussels neighbourhood is a “gigantic problem” given its past links to global terrorism. Those arrested were in contact with the Paris attackers, a senior Belgian counterterrorism source told CNN.
The only dead attacker to be named so far is a 29-year-old Frenchman, Ismail Omar Mostefai. Six of the attackers died in suicide explosive attacks while the last was shot dead.

One of his brothers had detonated a suicide vest down the street from the theater; another was ultimately detained in Belgium, officials said.

At the same summit meeting, the president of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, said there was no need for a complete review of the bloc’s refugee policy in response to the terrorist attacks. A few of the suspects were Belgian residents or citizens, and investigators believe the a few of the planning for the attack may have happened inside the country.
