See Meghan Trainor drawn as a Peanuts character
Vince Guaraldi’s chirpy piano is a staple of the Peanuts’ most memorable adventures, but these days, Charlie Brown and his pals are due for a little bit of bass.
None other than Grammy® -nominated and multi-platinum global superstar, Meghan Trainor, announced today she is recording an original song for SNOOPY AND CHARLIE BROWN: THE PEANUTS MOVIE.
The singer is writing a tune called “Better When I’m Dancin’“. “I wanted to make sure I got it exactly what they wanted”. “I can’t wait for everyone to meet her”. It’s unclear whether she’ll actually appear in the movie, but the film’s animators did give her the full Peanuts treatment.
The 21-year-old singer shared the image of herself as a Peanuts character on her Twitter account on Tuesday, admitting that she was excited to be part of the film’s soundtrack.
The forthcoming movie will celebrated the 65th anniversary of the iconic comic strip and the 50th anniversary of A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Charles Schulz drew the most popular and influential comic strip of all time, which was read every day by 355 million people in 75 countries. Martino also directed (with Michael Thurmeier) Fox’s recent box-office smash Ice Age: Continental Drift.
“However, after suffering a vocal cord injury that forced her to cancel several tour dates, Trainor found inspiration for the song, which will be released in September”.
