See The New ‘Ghostbusters’ Poster And Trailer Announcement
It’s 28 seconds of star-free footage of the streets of chaos on the streets of what is presumably NY. Even more, the first full trailer won’t even drop until March 3rd, just over four months from when the film will hit theaters.
While the gender swap is enough to celebrate (Chris Hemsworth will be playing the Ghostbusters’ receptionist), the other members of the cast are pretty incredible too.
The operative word here is definitely “teaser”, especially as we don’t get to see any of the new Ghostbusters in action. All of this is broken up by bumpers that say “Who you gonna call?”
Ghostbusters has a teaser trailer, and it shows a whole lot of people that aren’t Ghostbusters. Personally, I’m excited to see how the effects for the ghosts and the proton packs look this time.
Like JJ bringing back Han, Leia and Luke, the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot will feature cameos from a number of characters from the original, including Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver and Dan Aykroyd.
Remake naysayers will doubtless note the correlation of this teaser arriving on the date that the psychic in “Ghostbusters II” predicted the world would end. Get ready to watch them save the world this July.
