See the Terryfing Glass-Bottomed Bridge 600 Feet Above a Chinese Canyon
Now with the glass flooring which is only 24 mm thick, crossing the bridge may be considered as one of the most daring things to do for fun.
If you’re at all scared of heights you should probably look away now, because this glass-bottomed suspension bridge in China will test even the bravest of souls.
The new glass bridge, which provides locals and tourists with a 600-foot elevated view of the landscape below, was opened last Thursday and has been touted by officials as an attraction for thrill-seekers. The mountaintops are included in the Shiniuzhai National Geological Park, that will has many remarkable thoughts and feelings property several unusual crops and enormous natural mixture.
According to those who envisioned the bridge, it was modeled after the “Avatar Hallelujah Mountain” ranges, which seem suspended mid-air. The bridge itself runs for 984 feet, which makes it the longest manmade structure made of that material. It was designed by Tel Aviv-based architect, Haim Dotan.
“I believe in nature, harmony, balance and beauty”, Dotan told the BBC. “Nature is lovely as is. The Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge was created to be invisible as possible – a white bridge disappearing into the clouds”. Planks have been replaced by glass panes that are reportedly 25 times stronger than ordinary window glass, but visitors will be issued special footwear as an added safety precaution.
Though there were attempts to offer similar thrilling experiences, this suspension bridge in China is terrifying in all aspects.
