‘SEGA 3D Classics Collection’ (3DS) Announced
It contains nine classic Sega games previously released on the Master System and Genesis consoles, including four games never released on the 3DS before.
Don’t shit your trousers, but SEGA has revealed that they’re planning a new game announcement, and if you’re a fan of the company’s classic games, then you’re in for a right treat.
Pokémon artist Ken Sugimori’s box art will carry over to the localized version as well.
The game will be available for purchase in stores or online at Nintendo’s “eShop” for $29.99.
Power Drift – This sprite-based circuit racer puts you head to head against other AI racers in a twisting, turning, jumping, looping race to the finish. For retro game aficionados, Puyo Puyo 2 and Power Drift were only released in Japan, so this may be the time to get them.
Maze Walker (3DS debut) – Originally designed for the SegaScope 3-D glasses on the Sega Master System, Maze Walker comes to life on the 3DS, faithfully reproducing the sense of depth as players try to escape the mysterious, twisting maze filled with unknown dangers. Sega is leaving it in Japanese even for its Western release.
Of course, Sega is probably saving something for Sega 3D Classics Collection 2, and we’ve asked the publisher if that is in the works as well. Fantasy Zone II W is also included in the collection which is the version of Fantasy Zone II that was upgraded to match the graphics of the System-16 arcade board.
Thunder Blade – Helicopters, guns, missiles and explosions.
Galaxy Force II – Save the galaxy in this space themed3D shoot ’em up.
