Selden Leads Kansas past Kentucky 90-84
No. 9 West Virginia got a bit of their own medicine on Saturday afternoon, as Florida forced 19 turnovers and totally flustered the Mountaineers with a pressuring defense in an 88-71 win in Gainesville.
-Kansas has won 35 games in a row inside Allen Fieldhouse.
Sheldon McClellan scored 18 points to pace Miami (16-4, 5-3), which had a three-game winning streak snapped.

Kentucky’s biggest lead was eight, early in the second half. Kansas found themselves down a point with 34 seconds left.

Despite the success the United Kingdom backcourt has had, there is still room for improvement. Wildcats guard Tyler Ulis gave Kentucky a lot of good minutes, but unfortunately they didn’t happen during the closing minutes of regulation or in overtime.
“Yeah, they’re good, but we are better, ” KU student Tanner Buzick added. Skal Labissiere picked up two hacks in OT, the final one coming with Kentucky trailing 81-78 with 2:11 to go.
Kansas outrebounded the Wildcats 42-31 and made 30-of-47 foul shots while Kentucky was 13-of-22 from the charity stripe. When their opponents record a similar or higher FG%, the Kentucky Wildcats have a losing 1-2 record.
Devonte’ Graham, a 6-2 sophomore guard, rounds out Self’s three-guard starting lineup. Selden went 12 of 20 from the field with three 3-pointers while surpassing 1,000 career points. Derek Willis has been a huge “X-factor” for the Cats of late, averaging 12.3 points and 10.0 rebounds per game the last four games. The honor is the second SEC award of his career. Murray and Co. helped lead United Kingdom to its first win in Arkansas under the direction of John Calipari on Thursday. KeVaugh Allen added 19 points. He also contributed a block and a steal in the victory.
