Senate Republicans’ last gasp on Iran nuclear deal fails
Frustrated with the outcome, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., set up a third vote Thursday on a measure that would bar Obama from lifting sanctions on Iran unless Tehran recognized Israel as a state and released US prisoners held in Iran. First, after Carly Fiorina said she wouldn’t so much as meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin for the evils he’s committed, Paul noted that Ronald Reagan-in whose library the candidates and their audience were gathered-talked with the Russians throughout the Cold War, to the world’s benefit.
If this report is true, Iran can continue to mine that uranium, and under the deal negotiated, it leaves in place all of the elements to enrich uranium.
Gallagher said the Vatican hopes full implementation of the accord “will ensure the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program” and “will be a definitive step toward greater stability and security in the region”.
At the second GOP presidential debate, moderator Jake Tapper asked Cruz about the Ohio governor’s criticism that anyone promising to rip up the deal was “playing to a crowd” and “inexperienced”. “And, make sure that they have the most sophisticated weapons to send a signal to Iran that we have Israel’s back“.
In midsummer, he alleged that there was a secret side deal between the global Atomic Energy Agency and Iran detailing how Iran’s nuclear facilities would be inspected. Former Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., stipulated the same conditions as Fiorina, which would effectively kill the deal.
“I would say – and I don’t know if we’ve been able to confirm those reports yet – I’m very skeptical every time the Iranian government comes forward with information”. What are the chances that Iran will not end up with nuclear bomb which will inevitably set off Gulf States into nuclear arms race?
Experts who spoke to the Free Beacon raised alarms about the Obama administration’s response, which they claim would give Iran a veto over congressional efforts to respond to Iranian human rights atrocities and global terror activities.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in his closing remarks said, “I will not agree to anything with a country that says death to us and death to Israel and holds our hostages while we sign agreements with them”.
Given that support, several legislators have said those votes waste precious time.
“They should think twice about committing their own money or their shareholder’s money into major projects in Iran, whether it’s in their oil industry or their gas industry or their shipping or what have you”, Cotton said.
